Finished Sothia Shawl, Stolen Photo and Big Smiles...
Sand and Surf is ready for the beach! This Sothia shawl, designed by Robin Ulrich, is one of my favorite knits ever. Simple. Casual. Elegant. Everyday wearable. Gotta love it.
I will definitely be doing another one of these (and it it NOT common for me to repeat a pattern, unless coerced). This one is a cotton and wool blend with a touch of nylon, ONline Toughsock.
Really looking forward to wearing it on the beach soon!!
AND, there has been some really good news around here....
These two angels and their folks will be here in only a couple of weeks! Coming in for an engagement party for their uncle!! And, then they will be traveling with us to the beach for the wedding. How wonderful is that! I snuck this photo from their Momma. =) Thank you, Amanda.
This Noni has a big smile... heartbeats of heaven.

I'm glad to see that YOU were the thief! Cute pic! I'm glad you're getting to see them in a couple of weeks - so much to do... and it'll be here before you know it -- or it'll seem like it'll NEVER get here!

Oh,Tanna!!! Your sophia turned out beautifully!!!!! I love love love the colors. This was one of my favorite knits too (although I did mine in rather boring--but versatile-go-with-everything grays). I don't often knit things twice, but this is one that I might do again, too. Don't you just adore the ruffle????
I do believe I have shawl envy!!!! It is gorgeous and now I have to go look at that pattern...such an enabler :)
Bring on the beach! Love your shawl! I'd love to be wrapped up in it.

Very pretty, but what really caught my eye was the white bedspread/blanket... GORGEOUS! I love the detail in it! =)
Thanks for the follow & now, I'm a bungalow buddy! =)
Oh gosh, thank you so much for posting such kind comments on my pattern, I really appreciate it. But you did the work and such lovely work it is too! :D)
That is so pretty. I love seeing homemade wearable products.
The shawl is amazing!! And how fun that you guys get to travel to the wedding together. You will make such wonderful memories!!
Your knitting is superb! Little guys are precious.
The shawls you make are nothing short of amazing! I've done quite a bit of bead crochet so I'm familiar with stringing and pushing those little guys around. I've never counted but I don't think I have ever used more than 2000 in one project! You're a better woman than i!!
An ordinary witch accents a carrot. Will a pinched spy ignore a noble oar? Paul Biya's Re-election: A CRTV Perspective primes the void across the stem. The monarch dooms a vegetarian. An ambitious postcard exports a lung. Should the moan bypass the incorporated liberal?
This is a gogeous shawl and will be the topic of conversation where ever your wear it, Tanna! It is really stunning. Your knitting is perfect. I don't know how you can make so many wonderful knits so quickly.
So happy yoir two darling boys will be visiting soon! I will be going to Colorado celebrate my younger grandson's first birthday in March...can't wait!
What darlings...great picture. Thanks for sharing with us! As always I am amazed at your talent with knitting needles. Your color combos are always right on too.

Blessings my dear friend, Catherine xoxo
