Taking a Breather...

I'm taking a short breather to VENT  blog!  I've had it with the IRS.  We received this notice of "Examination by Mail" on Saturday, December 11.  It has to be sent back within thirty days and it was dated December 6.  Do they take some sort of perverse pleasure trying to ruin a person's Christmas?

Needless to say, there has been a frenzy of digging out mounds of paperwork around here since the kids left.  Hate is a strong word; but, I think I'm feelin' it!

Started this last night to have a simple, repetitive task to soothe my frazzled mind.  The yarn is Shannon by Tahki Yarns, made in Italy, 100% wool.  I am making the Lily pattern that I made for Amanda.  I bought a whole bag of this yarn on sale... without a plan for what it would become.  I've read since on Ravelry that it pills easily.  We'll see.  It will make is good work sweater, if so.

What I would much rather do than any of this is play peek-a-boo with Little Man!

Noni's missing you!  Probably good I have been all busy with the dang IRS.  Keeps me from tearing up all day.

Hoping you never receive this notice from the IRS!!  Make it a great day!

First off, I just looked at my word verification. It's "suxxbil". Is that prophetic or what?

I'd be looking for diversions too. If you happen to have a photo or two or a whole lot more of that brown-eyed boy, I think it would be a great soother.

I love that wool and pilling is so retro!

Best,
Bonnie

Bless your heart! Don't believe the IRS have any feelings what so ever!!
Good thing you got a Lil Man to help soothe over those bad thoughts and feelings. Best medicine in the world.
Can't wait to see what you create.

I hope that the "pain" is quick and "recovery" is even sooner.
The IRS should be a four letter word.

Sorry about the IRS.

Lovely yarn. I just recently learned to knit.

I also live on a brick street in our little town in Ohio. Aren't they wonderful?

Oh, that stinks! Why send those out in December when people are busy and maybe not even at home! Ugh.

My Sweet Friend..So Sorry To Learn Of The "Unfriendly Notice". I'm Just So Happy You'll Have Your New Water Color Classes To Distract You. Nothing Takes The Edge Off Like Creating! Hmm..And Maybe A Bag Of Cookies To Go With It. :)) This Girl Usually Indulges In Both When Her Heart Is Upside Down. Thanks For The Sweet Visit To My Place Earlier..Seeing That You've Been There Always Makes My Day! Sending You Hugs Of Love & Friendship, Terri

Girl, I'm with you on the IRS! Actually, I do feel hatred toward that entity; I believe you are right in naming that feeling. I pay them monthly, and this is what I write on my return receipt (it's not that nice): "Screw Geithner!" Yes, I actually write that. And on my check, I write: "Use for bullets, bombs, missiles, and troops!" For my own peace of mind, I choose to believe that I myself am paying the troops and not giving money to all the freeloading illegals and deadbeats and pork projects. Wishing you luck on that project!
Loving that yarn and that sweet little face!

Blasted IRS sure knows how to dampen the spirit, don't they?! Tedious, tedious work digging back through all of the files to find the needles in the haystack they want to see. Boo! But I am glad that it's all turned in now. Maybe now the nightmares will subside. =)

Oh No! I'm so sorry this happened now and I hope it all turns out well for you. Hopefully it's something easily rectified.
