Breakfast Date

One of my favorite things to do on the weekend is enjoy an early morning bike ride with my Beloved to breakfast at The Egg and I, The Eatery or sometimes IHOP.

I love how we pass by flags lining the streets for every patriotic holiday; how the birds are busy singing back and forth: and, how the morning air is a smidge cooler and so wet with humidity you could almost drink it.

I love laughing and talking with my husband while sipping on an Arnold Palmer (Lemonade and Iced Tea)...  deciding what morning treat we will enjoy... and soaking up the scents of breakfast dancing through the air.

From our favorite seats, we can watch over Miss Daisy while she waits. =) Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and do at least one thing that your really enjoy!

I'm linking this to Sandi's Friday Favorites.

That would be great to live where the roads weren't so busy and safe for riding a bike like that. Way too busy here. You would be killed.

While we don't bike the streets of Chicago, we do love brunch there and go often. Here in our little suburb, it's much quieter as far as traffic but there are few choices for a really good breakfast. Love that brick street!

Best,
Bonnie

What a great way to start the weekend! You know LM would love to join his Noni and Pop Pop for breakfast at any of those places. Counting down the days - yeah, baby!

Hi- I'm a new visitor : ) I love your bike- it is so cute! I too am a biker rider. I live about 4 blocks from my neighborhood's downtown and often take off in my bike to return library books or shop at the farmer's market. I love being able to leave the car in the garage! Hope you're having a nice weekend!

I LOVE Miss Daisy!!! That is so funny that you have a Miss Daisy! Last week I purchased my very own Miss Daisy and knew she needed a name but have yet to come up with one. I will be doing a post on her soon once I do decide on a name.
