Sticking with my "plan," Evan went to Wal-Mart early this morning and purchased a new bicycle pump for us and aired up the tires on our bikes. It was 49 degrees with a "feels like" factor of 42. Now, the bad photography day is due, in part, to my choosing poor settings for today... I mean an ISO of 100 while the wind is whipping the plants around and I am without tripod... well, you get blurry photos. Then there is the issue of getting twelve shots (most of which are unusable) and the message: Card Full. All user errors. Oh, well.
It was fun getting out. I was able to check off the bike ride for the week... though I hope to have more.
For an update on the Azalea Trails, Christine this is the 51st Anniversary of the Trails. There are over 14 miles of gorgeous landscaping highlighting the azaleas. I have a link on the side to photos from last year. This year.... the blooms are way behind schedule with the cold weather we have had.
These tulips are beautiful, but note the azaleas in the background. They are JUST beginning to show some color. We had people from Dallas yesterday doing the Historic Home Tour for the first time because there were no azaleas to see! Good for us at the Tour. Sad for them they missed the spectacular views they were accustomed to seeing. Good news is that they will be back next year for both the Home and Azalea Tours. Hope all of your photo sessions go better than this one!

I think your photos are gorgeous. It looked like a bright, clear day outside. Good for you for getting on the bike!
I bought one of those baby carriers that attach to the back of the bike so that I could ride Jake around in it. Only problem is that we can't figure out how to attach it correctly. My friend has the exact same one and I'll be seeing her in a few weeks so I'll enlist her help.
The weather here is gorgeous today. I need to get outside myself!
I think your pictures are wonderful! I wish I could spend some time in Tyler and tour!!!
How did you get your first picture so wide? I love it! Is it related to the background you are using? I think it is great! The only choices I have are; small, med, large....and boring/ha
I love the photos of the flowers. I especially love the flag - UT/A&M house divided..how funny they even make a flag with those two schools on one piece of fabric - haha.
To answer your question - no I have not done the hotter n hell. My husband is a big time road racer and he did it twice. He loved it. wierdo:)

I enjoy the lovely homes along the trail as much as I enjoy the azaleas themselves!
Um, that second pic looks like something out of a magazine. I'm just making an observation here.
:-)
You get to enjoy the flowers of Spring so much earlier than do the people in the northeast. I'm jealous. Your photos are great!
You are wrong - those are great pictures. I love to see flowers myself!
Love,
sandie
Love the pictures. Tulips are my favorite flower and I absoutely LOVE this time of the year. Glad you got out and enjoyed this spring day.
I love the pictures and have the same question as Nanny, how in the world do you get those pictures so big. I've tried to play with the html but no luck...you know I"m not savvy.
I think your pictures look beautiful! We had that crazy wind this weekend too. Every time it is crazy windy in Oklahoma I have to sing the song.....OOOOK lahoma where the wind comes whistling down the plains......lol.
I sang it more than once this weekend. Hope you are having a great day.♥
I especially like the church picture with the row of tulips...wonderful job!
Tanna, I'm relieved to see that you have days like I have - less than spectacular. Wednesday, I'm taking Mary and Mom to Old Washington, AR, and the scenic drive there. It's glorious! Our azaleas are not bloomed, either, but the buds are there. Have a wonderful Tuesday.
Oh, please~these are great! Photography lessons--on my list of "to do's" maybe, some day! C
Tanna, those photos look good to me. Love the tulips. Glad you enjoyed your bike ride. Love home tours and sorry the weather wasn't warmer and the azaleas were not cooperating. Going to be 81 here by Friday. We will just jump from winter to summer now and skip spring all together.
I thought I saw y'all bicycle by my house - I recognized your hubby from your pictures. It's beautiful out there now and the perfect cloud cover to help your colors pop. Picture time!
