It is the last Thursday of the month and I am dashing through here to keep good on my commitment. Last month, my goals were:
I'm going to focus on paying attention to the paths that open to me and to enjoy (or at least give thanks for) all that God sends. Keep up the moving. Exercise is critical for me. Focus on connections to God and to my loved ones.
I'm reporting that I have been so busy following some very interesting paths that I have hardly had time to blog at all! It has been great fun though. I have met some of the most interesting people and enjoyed some new activities. My creative projects are running me wild! I have hit full thrive mode.
The most interesting thing I can share about last month's commitment to enjoy or at least give thanks for all that God sends is that the alchemy of gratitude is amazing. I have reminded myself countless times over the month to give thanks for ALL things... the annoying, the dreaded, the downright irritating... and, amazingly, almost every time I ended up enjoying whatever the situation! Just by giving thanks... not by trying to convince myself that I liked or enjoyed the situation... but, by giving thanks.
And, because this has worked so well for me this month, I will continue with the same goals I had last month. Right now I am struggling to give thanks for my left knee pain... but, I am determined to trust that for whatever reason, this is right for now. God is good.
Hope my other little thrivers are enjoying the successes of an intention to thrive! I'd love to hear all about it! Happy Thriving!

Oh, I love your post. I am very grateful for everything that God has bestowed on me. I am so lucky to have left the workforce several years ago and to be able to stay home. I was stressed out beyond words at my job. In January I got back to exercising and eating healthy to get some gained weight off. I was exercising regularly until I broke at toe walking into my bed at night. I got on the scale this morning and to my surprise have finally lost ten pounds. Woo hoo! I still have at least fifteen more to get off, but I am doing it slowly and hope to keep it off. Too many yo yo ups and downs. Have a great week...Kim
I hope your pain goes away....did you get it from running?
Wish you were here...we had great mexican food last night! Never ending supply of new and different restaurants!!
good for you....love hearing your progress...
Tanna, you are such good encouragement! Congratulations!
You have done an amazing job on your goals and vision for yourself. Alot of people would have forgotten the importance of keeping with the Mission and lost sight by now, but not YOU! You have done a great job thriving on these things that make you so happy and for that, I'm happy for you! Congrats to you!
Come on over and check it out. http://amanda-correa.blogspot.com/2010/02/mission-thrive-check-in.html
We should have a virtual toast to thriving. Love you! Thank you for keeping it going another month. Looking forward to next month.
I can't wait to hear more about all your interesting paths! Oh, and you probably noticed but I "copied" your pop-up comments because I liked it so much! Thanks for the idea. :-)
It's always a good think to express your thankfulness! :)
So nice to see and feel the gratitude you share! I love coming to visit your place! You give me such encouragement to strive as well as thrive!
Blessings, joy and sunshine to you sweet lady, Terri
help me understand the part about giving thanks for things you don't necessarily enjoy. does this mean if somebody cuts you off in traffic or some other bone head move, you give thanks instead of the table for one sign? and it works?
i could use some of this therapy:)
Being in the moment. I thought it about it a lot this week and am enjoying every moment of my mom, Lila, and BM this week. I can't wait for Saturday. I'm going to run that race, slowly, but with my head held hight and enjoy every moment.
Morning, Just found you blog and will be back to carefully read your post. Check out my list of Texas bloggers.
