Roanoke has an AMAZING number of historic properties! It was wonderful to walk and be surrounded by these old beauties.
Seems on every street, there was work being done.
I have never seen so many throughout an entire city.
Of course, I enjoyed this immensely! =_

One day I'll expect Mirabelle to live among the photos of houses that stood out. =)
is your daughter living in Roanoke? We lived in Richmond but my husband had one of his six stores in Roanoke and another in Lynchburg. We used to water ski on Smith Mtn Lake. In fact, it's only been a few years since I was in Roanoke on business. I always thought it was a nice small town. They have a wonderful Farmer's Market and I love Virginia wine.
AC - Are you kidding? Mirabelle is the brightest beacon on the block! She houses my precious grandbaby!
CG - Yes, my baby is in Roanoke. She is a successful little advertising master in her own right. She works remotely there. I have not made the Farmer's Market yet! Did you have biscuits at Tudor's??? I'll have to try the VA wine on my next adventure! Thanks for the tip.
